===== ww8-inst-printer =====

To print on the big institute printer (ww8-inst-printer), you have to;
   * download and install the Driver and
   * connect to the printserver (ww8printer orww8depot)

Download the Printers driver :**

== Windows (7) ==

  - Startmenue
  - Devices and Printer
  - (right click) Add Printer
  - Select "Add Network, Wireless ..."
  - "Der gesuchte Drucker ist nicht aufgeführt" anklicken
  - im Feld "Freigegebenen Drucker über den Namen auswählen" **https://ww8printer.ww.uni-erlangen.de:631/printers/ww8-inst-printer-WIN** eingeben und mit **Weiter** bestätigen.
  
  - im Druckerinstallations-Assistenten **Have Disk** auswählen und zum entpackten Treiberdownload navigieren. Im Unterverzeichnis für die passende Sprache die ''OEMSETUP.inf'' Datei auswählen.
  - nach der Installation den Drucker **UTAX | 3005ci** auswählen

== 108.01 Service Printhead Error ==

Means:''%%  Printer lost synchronization of internal mechanism. Call a service technician. %%''

Just do the following, don't think about the meaning of this error message.

  * Switch off the Printer
  * Open Printer, Remove all parts on the right side - coler cartridges, recuberation tank. 
  * Draw out the print rolls.
  * Clean the magenta print roll with a dust-free cloth.
  * Put all together, Power on ... Maybe you don't have to call a technician.
