There will be an update to version 1.7 version 1.8 on all of the Institute Clients. Ubuntu 12.04 contains version 1.6.x, so we will prepare for an update to version 1.7.9 1.8.3.

On most of the Windows VMs there already is an compatible version installed.

1.7 1.8 client software can not work with 1.6 or 1.7 working copies and vice versa. To upgrade a Working copy to version 1.7 1.8 just call svn upgrade in your head directory of the working copy. This working copy will not be administrable on any client with an older version of svn.
